I have been a patron of LRAFB Main Exchange since 1968, always a pleasure to visit and talk to the knowledgeable and courtious Staff.

Our family lives in Kansas, but we were on vacation in Little Rock, Arkansas. I am proud to say that I am a stay at home mom, who strives to help her family by saving on things that I can save. So I decided to shop a little at the BX Exchange in Little Rock (Donald Cantwell store manager) . It was the worse thing I could done. So, I know that I can use one exchange coupon with a manufactures coupon. I wanted to purchase tide detergent and pods. So, I could use a $2 exchange coupons that said “ One (1) Tide, Gain, Cheer, or Dreft Liquid OR one (1) Bounce, Gain, Downy, or Dreft Fabric Enhancer”. It had not other restrictions. It says it could be used one per purchase item. I have purchased this items before at my local Army and AFB in Kansas with no issues.

Store is always clean add well stocked. Garden center on premises.

If you apply for a Military Star card it is possible to get a extra 10 to 20% off your purchase total. Something to keep in mind if you are needing a big ticket item.

Anyways, I tell Wanda the same thing. She tells me that she “can let me do one purchase of one item” now she is making her own rules. I told her that she could keep them. But I would like for someone at the exchange to educate their employees and motivate them to help customers save a dollar here and a dollar there. After all that is why the coupons are given to the customers. But I would thing that it also helps the exchange move their product instead of just having it on the shelf.

I see employees at this exchange so bitter and acting as the coupon police and making customers feel like we are wrong for wanting to save. I do not lose anything because I know what I am doing and promotions are left and right at all store. But it is sad that a store that should be focus on serving our military men and women and their families are focus on blocking their savings.

Variety of items to browse through. Never had an issue with buying or returning. Nice place

Anything you could possibly want in a department store! All name brand items which are costly when on a budget.

Good variety of products to pick from. Prices are really good. Employees are friendly and ready to help you.

Now, I go to a cashier by the name of Ashley, who soon seem more focus on blocking my savings than reading the understanding the coupon policy and be educated about couponing and striving for customer satisfaction. Maybe she wish she would know how to save, but does not want to put the work that goes into couponing. She first says oh this coupon cannot be used on this item (now remember that the coupon says can be used on tide and that is what I am purchasing), then I bring to her attention that I am buying tide, so it should be no issue. Then, She says that the item needs to be pictured in the coupon? Then since I contacted P&G before about this item, it is obvious that they would not picture every variety of their products on their coupons you can see that on their manufacture coupons that unless it is excluded the coupon can be used on all of their products. If it says used on tide, you can used the coupon on all tide products, unless excluded. So I told her that. She is obviously someone who does not know anything about couponing, but to block people who coupons from using their coupons. I was not going to argue with her or anybody. I said okay, I will leave the product. Then she calls her supervisor Wanda. So I explain to her the same thing. The coupons are for the right items. Then she says will its for the bigger items that cost more, but I tell her that I want to use the coupon on the items that will give me the customer the best value not the store. Then, the coupons are for customers to use it, if the BX and PX do not want us to use them, then they would not have exchange coupons. Now you see I coupon at Target as well and Target has the gift cards given to customers when they buy Tide products, but the BX just let us use the exchange coupons which really are like the gift cards. But buying the same tide, which is usually more expensive at the BX would only make it worth buying it if the exchange coupon is used.
