I was born in Liitle Rock in 1956. I lived on base till 1974
It's a Big populated base with all of the essentials.
This may be a small AFB, but the commissary is excellent! There are many walking/jogging paths near the campground.
Active military members, retirees, DoD employees, and 100% DAVs have access to the Fam Camp on this base. You can stay up to 14 nights. Rate is $15/night. Full hook-ups, 30-50 amp service. Most sites are back-in but there are pull-thrus as well. No reservations. First come, first serve. Sites are roomy and level. Bath houses are clean. Close to the commissary and BX. Camp host is exceeding polite and helpful. We arrived after dark with no idea where to go. The camp host responded to our call for assistance within moments of our phoning him. This is an active AFB. You will hear the sounds of freedom (planes, jets, etc.) at times but you'll still enjoy a great night's rest. We VERY highly recommend this RV campground.
